First Responder Kettlebell Program I'm Mike Stefano, retired FDNY Captain, and Firefighter's Workout Book author. Over the years I've trained thousands of firefighters from across the country, and now I'm bringing my program home, with our brand new, state-of-the-art, firefighter / kettlebell fitness center on Long Island (3597 Merrick Road, Seaford) -the only one of it's kind. Candidates (CPAT), active members, retirees -- FDNY and volunteer, AKC Fitness LI is a FIREFIGHTER-FRIENDLY training facility. We will create a program specifically to meet your needs. With 14 separate training stations, we offer personal training, group classes, job-specific (IE: sledge, hose, dummy, stepmill, all CPAT events) and kettlebell squad training (small-group coaching that saves you hundreds!). HOW DOES MEMBERSHIP & SQUAD TRAINING WORK?

Squad Training, Personal Training without the Price
Members Only Firefighter / Kettlebell Squad Training AKC Fitness LI is not a typical gym where members wander aimlessly from station to station. All training is under the watchful eye of the AKC Trainers. Your daily regimen, short-term plan, and ultimate progression are professionally determined, to ensure your safe, steady progress, and consistent results. Squad Training, included with your monthly membership, features an average ratio of 2 coaches per 6 members, and is available 10 hours daily. Our cutting edge fitness modalities include premier kettlebell lifting and the WKC First Responder Protocol. We also offer open access to our Cardio Corner for all of our members during gym hours. New members are also put through the one-on-one Introductory Course before Squad Training. After course completion members are given unlimited gymnasium access and Squad Training during all hours of operation. Firefighter specific / FDNY academy prep, and CPAT group classes are also held weekly.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS
New members have the option of Platinum (annual), Gold (monthly), or Silver (daily) membership plans. The Gold Membership involves no long-term contract or commitment. The Platinum Membership is a one-year plan payable monthly. Our special Silver Plan can be used one day at a time for those who are more comfortable purchasing a block of sessions rather than a time-based membership. New members all begin their training with our Introduction to Kettlebells Course, where they receive 5 30-minute intensive, one-on-one sessions. Once they pass the course, members can train any time during gym hours - no appointment necessary.

STATE OF THE ART FIREFIGHTER-SPECIFIC TRAINING
As firefighters and first responders, we have unique goals and needs. AKC Fitness LI features CPAT prep events designed by equipment supervisor and technical advisor, Steve Bumb (FDNY). We also understand the weight loss needs, and cardiovascular wellness issues that faces many senior and retired members. Discreet health screening, weight loss, medical prep, CPAT training, academy prep, are all include in our services. Come in for a free consultation.

CARDIO CORNER / OTHER AMENITIES
In addition, all members can take advantage of our Cardio Corner, featuring UNLIMITED USE of our pro level stepmill, rower, treadmill, spin bikes, recumbent bike, with 2 flat-screen TV's. We feature brand new bathroom, shower, secure lockers and private changing room. Refrigerated refreshments are available on premises. Interact, share experiences with other firefighters / members.

INTRODUCTORY COURSE
Whether you've been around kettlebells for awhile or just starting out, this is the training for you. We cut right to the chase with hands on lessons covering every basic movement that you'll need. All new AKC Fitness members are required to complete the Intro Course at the start of their membership. For a limited time, new members get the Kettlebell Introductory Course at just $149 (normally $299). Regardless of level of fitness or kettlebell expertise, Coach Stefano and his fellow trainers can give you the skills you need to master kettlebell lifting and maximize your results. When you opt for the annual membership, you get the Intro Course at NO CHARGE.

SPECIALIZED CPAT PREP TRAINING CLASSES START 3/1
CPAT Prep Program Mike is the author of the Firefighters Workout Book (HarperCollins 2000) and creator of the First Responder Kettlebell Program with AKC Head Coach, Valery Fedorenko. Mike also spent 22 years with the FDNY, retiring as Captain. Mike understands the needs of firefighters, and AKC Fitness LI features programming directly beneficial to all first responders, but especially when preparing for physical test such as CPAT. In addition to cutting edge firefighter-kettlebell training, Mike and his Technical Advisor, veteran NYC firefighter and AKC Coach, Stephen Bumb, continue to design innovative firefighter / CPAT, task-specific conditioning systems that can be found nowhere else. ACTIVE FIRST RESPONDERS
For the active member, work capacity and general conditioning need to be addressed immediately. Weight loss can also be a major issue. Our programming will go to the heart of what you need most. Mike's programming and workout design can make a big difference in a firefighters work capacity and ability to his job. We're conveniently located on the south shore on Nassau county in lovely Seaford, on Merrick Road (2 blocks west of rt. 135). Police Officers (right across the street from the 7th pct), EMT's, Firefighters, come down, show your ID and ask about our first responder programs and packages.

PERSONAL TRAINING / COACHING: $80/HR
Master Coach Mike Stefano Train one-on-one with some of Long Island's top personal trainers including the talented Valeria Young (NASM, WKC, NYA). In addition to kettlebell's, Valeria's specialty is Yoga, general fitness, weight loss, and body sculpting. At AKC Fitness LI, we put the fun back in fitness, utilizing a variety of disciplines from Kettlebells to Yoga, but always dependent upon YOUR goals and needs. Let us help you reach your full potential, lose weight, and improve your overall physical conditioning.

MASTER COACHING: $100/HR
Are you ready for the most advanced training possible? Become the athlete you always knew you could be! Coach Stefano can provide exceptionally motivated athletes one-on-one coaching to take their kettlebell lifting and level of conditioning to the highest level imaginable. SEMINARS / WORKSHOPS
Master Coach Mike Stefano GET READY! Prepare your body for what inevitably lies ahead and avoid many of the inherent dangers of the job. Timed sets that last as long as 16 minutes mimic EXACTLY what you need. On my program the first responder gets really strong, learns to move with fluidity, recovers faster, reduces body fat, and most importantly, develops supreme cardiovascular efficiency and general health.
